I've had one of those weeks. One of those annoying weeks that causes nothing but headaches and rants. What makes me feel better is good ol' comfort food and what better for comfort than a burger? Especially one that comes with haystack onions or sweet potato fries.
Smashburger is a Denver-based burger joint that's making some serious inroads into San Diego. Dan is a major fan of them and introduced me. (Hey, stop telling everyone how much I like this place! -Dan)
Can't help it. When you like a restaurant, dear husband, you really like a restaurant. I definitely see what Dan loves, with the delicious burgers, haystack onions, and shakes. On a recent visit to the opening of the Rancho Peñasquitos location, courtesy of Elle Communications, I had the Classic Smashchicken while Dan had the Mushroom Swiss Smashburger.
Our burgers were delicious and we tried a Chicago Smashdog, which was also delightful. So, you can go with Dan's enthusiastic recommendation of his favorite lunch spot or you can try it for yourself. To enter for a chance join Smashburger as they celebrate the opening of the Kearny Mesa location on Wednesday, September 7, from 5:30-8:30pm, do the following (and do it soon!):
