Taste of Adams Avenue: A Giveaway!

One of the best photography lessons I've learned thus far is from Diane and Todd of White on Rice Couple. They were giving a presentation and Diane said to stop.

Just stop. Take a moment to look at the light. Don't snap away without considering the light.

I've taken that to heart, always pausing, camera in hand, to take a good long look at the light. Today, unfortunately, the light was not my friend. Flat, gloomy, and moodless. Well, hellooo, June gloom.

June gloom, however, might be your best asset as you traverse Taste of Adams Avenue on June 26, from 11am to 3pm. The cool weather is best for eating until you burst with delightful samples from restaurants such as Blind Lady Ale House, Farmhouse Cafe, Kensington Grill, and El Zarape.

Remember Taste of Hillcrest? It was so much fun that the folks at McFarlane Promotions invited me for round two at Taste of Adams Avenue. Unfortunately, I can't make it, but my loss is your gain as Meandering Eats is giving away two tickets!

You must be able to travel to Taste of Adams Avenue to be eligible for this contest.

How to Win:
  1. Leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite restaurant on Adams Avenue or which restaurant on the Taste of Adams Avenue list you're most looking forward to trying.
  2. Follow me on Twitter and tweet the following message (very important to include the @moowiesqrd part): @moowiesqrd Hey! I want to win the Taste of Adams Avenue tickets!
  3. Do either or both of these things by 11:59pm PDT on Friday, June 17, 2011.
  4. Only one comment and one tweet accepted as entries.
How the winner will be chosen:
  • Your comments and tweets will be numbered in the order they were submitted
  • A number will be chosen via Random.org
  • I will announce the winner on in a subseqent post on Saturday, June 18, 2011. The winner will have 48 hours to contact me with their name/mailing address. Tickets will be mailed to you.
  • Unfortunately, any errors with tweeting or commenting will not be considered as entries.
Many thanks to McFarlane Promotions for the tickets! It's going to be a fabulous (and filling!) event!

I would LOVE to win some tickets to the Taste of Adams Ave! We live within walking distance and frequent many of the participants on a regular basis, Rosie O'Gradys has the BEST breakfast, and any Blind Lady pizza is to die for! I am anxious to try Cueva Bar and I still have never been to Farm House Cafe....thanks for the opportunity, love your blog!

I want to go!  There are so many good "Taste of.." events these days! I'd say Farmhouse Cafe is my favorite, mainly because I love their food throughout the whole day brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert... ooh! And Tao! Because they're inexpensive but tasty!

Marie, it's bi-coastal. I wanted to take pictures today, but it's the gloomiest, rainiest, coolest, miserablest Saturday! A good day to make strawberry jam I guess :)

I want to try The Incredible Cheesecake Company, because, um, it has the words "incredible" and "cheesecake" in the name... : )

I need to win this!  I used to live on Adams Ave and walked to the event!!!  It was the year I was pregnant with Skylar actually!  My fave restaurant on Adams is Jyothi Byanga (sp?)  but gosh there are SO many gems!

Now I live in Hillcrest so can't quite walk to the event but would love to go!

And tell me more about your photography class with Todd and Diane.  I am going on a trip with them!!
