Happy New Year!

There hasn't been much time for updating. One word sums up the holidays: insane. Busy leading up and busy leading out of X'mas and New Year's. Work's fired up again and things are in full swing. There's a few more posts that are backlogged, but it's not bad overall. A few baking projects (thanks, K., for the pictures!), some amazing footage of Mom cooking, and a few new restaurants.

Before I post those, I leave this fabulous link to an article in the L.A. Times. This guy's an inspiration to foodies and food bloggers, especially the Asian-American variety.

Meet Rameniac

The highlight of the article? When he says, "For an Asian American, being a foodie on the Internet is kind of like being a rock star without having to be unemployed or doing a lot of drugs or disappointing your parents."

Hehe. I disagree with this commentary on Cantonese food. In fact, steamed fish and rice really take me home. Note his observation about Asian-American food bloggers. Looks like I fit into the demographic, too!
